YAC: Yards After Cash - NFL Week 10 Picks

Busy week leads to a rapid-fire picks post. I'd apologize for the brevity but none of you reading this are paying to do so, so I am absolved of guilt.

Last Week: 7-6

Current Record (ATS): 61-47-4

Home team in CAPS, picks in bold, lines from bovada.lv as always.

New England -7 TENNESSEE

Belichick is not losing to two proteges in the same season. NE 27 Tenn 17

NY JETS -8.5 Buffalo

It's both insulting and sad that the true predictor of this game's winner is which defense will score more points? Yet, it's still not as insulting as Bills fans starting a GoFundMe to get Nathan Peterman to retire. NYJ 16 Buff 13

Detroit +7 CHICAGO

The Bears defense is fierce and Khalil Mack should be back and on the attack. Matt Stafford should strap in because Sunday is going to be a bumpy ride. Chicago 31 Detroit 17

New Orleans -6 CINCINNATI

I like Cincy's backdoor cover potential even with a low stock of weaponry on the field. NO 32 Cincy 28

Jacksonville +3 INDIANAPOLIS

If the Jags lose this then I'll fully write them off. Jax 18 Indy 17

Atlanta -6 CLEVELAND

Cleveland is teetering on the edge of the cliff right now. It's sad really because they spent so much time up until week seven climbing back from obscurity and it seems like they are just about to fall right back into it. Atlanta 30 Cleveland 18

Washington +3 TAMPA BAY

Wildcard game of the week by two teams that play like wildcards each week. No idea which version of each team plays in this game so I'll take the points. Washington 28 Tampa 27

KANSAS CITY +17 Arizona - KC's defense is bad and Arizona will backdoor cover this as a result. The last time an NFL team covered a 17 point or higher spread was September 22, 2013 when Seattle beat Jacksonville covering a 19.5 point spread. It just doesn't happen often enough to think this will occur because its just not easy to do in the pros. KC 35 Arizona 20

LA Chargers -9.5 OAKLAND - when a team's coach and front office make it clear they're not invested in current roster's success why would those players care about the team's success? Oakland is not only mailing in performances for the rest of the season they are pony expressing it in. LAC 37 OAK 12

GREEN BAY -9.5 Miami

Rodgers has to be angry enough to just destroy this dubious Dolphins team, right? GB 33 Miami 17

Seattle +10 LA RAMS

No way do I see the Rams losing back to back games. I certainly hope their defense got the wake up call they needed all season to start playing well rather than playing lax simply because the offense can outscore everyone. LAR 38 Seattle 24

Dallas +6.5 PHILADELPHIA

If Dallas loses they are done, so get the fork ready to stick in 'em. Over/Under on number of weeks Jason Garrett has remaining as the Dallas Cowboys head coach is 3 since its unlikely Jerry Jones fires him leading right into a Thanksgiving matchup. However, I can see him stealing the Sunday morning attention of Week 12 with news of a coaching change if the Cowpokes are a lowly 3-8. Philly 28 Dallas 16

SAN FRANCISCO -2.5 NY Giants

Watch the video below inserting these lyrics: Nick Mullens, Nick Mullens from the South of Mississippi, cuz players play. like they do, like they did (Schmidt rapping at 32 seconds in)... SF 24 NYG 20

Last week's starting amount: $484.14

Last week's results (week 9): +$12.53

Current balance: $496.67 (+$296.76)

Went 2-3 on bets last week but had the bigger amounts on the right bets, thankfully. A modest twelve dollar profit but all things considered I'll take it. Last week was my cooler week. This week we get the fire started again.

Locks of the Weekend

Atlanta -6.5 CLEVELAND (-115) $23 to win $20

LA Chargers -9.5 OAKLAND (-115) $22 to win $20

Upset Alert

I guess its Jacksonville (+120) and Washington (+130) but no real fun ones and their moneylines are not even good.

Parlay Play

Patriots, Bears, Saints, Falcons, Chargers, Packers, Rams all must win (+447) $17 to win $75.93

Tease Please

Back to the ten point sweetheart teaser (+200) $30 to win $60

Patriots -7 goes to +3

Falcons -6 goes to +4

Chiefs -17 goes to -7

Chargers -10 goes to 0

Packers -10 goes to 0

Rams -10 goes to 0
